We take ourselves SO seriously. Take God seriously? Absolutely! Treat His Son and His Word with the utmost respect? Not a doubt! But when it comes to ourselves, we could do with a healthy dose of humor. I appreciate it when someone running for President can enjoy some silliness. Respect for God's supremacy actually makes it easier to laugh at ourselves - anyone who can't see how silly we must sometimes look to God has absolutely no sense of humor.

All of the ads are on the Huckabee web site, they're only running in Iowa and New Hampshire now, I believe. Given the other candidates can be so grim, he is a breath of fresh air.

Up in Wisconsin, Stan Kasten was a US Senator around 1990 and he was getting challenged by Russ Feingold. All I remember from those campaigns was Feingold's use of humor. Well, that and Feingold winning. So Huckabee might be on to something.
