Severe weather hit the Mid-South last night. The dispassionate details are captured in this AP story. I am sure there are no words to describe the pain behind the details, especially for the many families who have experienced the loss of a friend or loved one. We pray for God's comfort to be ministered to all who are reeling.
Light-work HQ suffered no damage and only a brief power out - we are grateful. We watched one angry cell pass by on its way to a touchdown north of us. Tornadoes are such fickle fellows. They use some twisted logic to erase one home while leaving its neighbor perfectly intact. Why one; why not the other? I do not know the answer. This is one of those places where the big plan is beyond me, but what I am able to know is enough: God is more than worthy of my trust.
So I knew there had been some storms up there because I was keeping an eye on the weather here (we were under a Tornado watch most of last night), but definitely did not find out how bad the tornadoes were until late last night (well, actually early this morning if you want to be technical). What do things look like up there from what you guys have seen?
